I’ve always been drawn to those ubiquitous ‘Thank You’ bags—the ones we’ve all encountered countless times. They’re simple, iconic, and often overlooked, yet they hold so many small, personal stories.
Take this one, for instance. I was home alone for dinner because my boyfriend was away—his dad was in the hospital. Ordering out when he isn’t home is a little treat I give myself because I adore eating alone. There’s something so indulgent about savoring my food without having to share it (though the dogs always think they’re entitled to a bite of my curry, no matter how many times I say, “no, it’s spicy”).
It was a bittersweet evening—finding comfort in my little ritual while also feeling the weight of the circumstances that brought this bag into my house.
These bags remind me that even the most ordinary objects can carry unexpected weight. They hold pieces of us—small stories that add up to something much bigger.

Creating it involved me, in my pajamas on a Sunday night, rearranging my kitchen and chasing the perfect light. It reminded me why I love personal work—it’s a chance to reflect, experiment, and see where curiosity takes me.
As we step into 2025, I hope you’ll find time to savor the small moments, cherish the ordinary, and make space for the stories that matter most. Here’s to new beginnings, creative exploration, and the little details that make life meaningful
