Exciting News! My photo with the wine brand 19 Crimes made it to the shortlist in the Production Paradise contest for advertising photography! This project was truly a team effort, with talented collaborators like Laura Cook on styling and Ted Bluey as our creative director. Together, we set out to capture the independent, bold spirit of the 19 Crimes brand through creative lighting and storytelling.

The Role of Advertising Photography in Brand Storytelling

Advertising photography goes beyond visuals; it tells a story that resonates. By blending lighting and composition, we create a mood that reflects a brand’s unique personality. For 19 Crimes, we focused on conveying the wine’s flavor and character while highlighting the brand’s unconventional spirit. Warm lighting added depth and texture, inviting the viewer into the scene. It became more than a photo of a product—it’s a story, an experience, and that’s the kind of immersive imagery I strive for in my work.

The Power of Collaboration

One of the best parts of this project was working alongside a dedicated team. Laura Cook’s styling brought detail and emotion to every shot, while Ted Bluey’s creative vision guided us throughout, inspiring us to produce something exceptional. Collaborating with talented, passionate individuals makes every project richer and more meaningful.

Why I Love What I Do

Projects like this remind me why I’m so passionate about photography. Exploring lighting techniques and storytelling to create visually impactful images is what drives me. There’s something fulfilling about using my camera to bring a brand’s narrative to life, blending light and shadow to add layers of meaning and depth.

Gratitude and Looking Ahead

It’s an honor to be recognized by Production Paradise for this project. I’m grateful to Laura and Ted for their amazing contributions, and I’m thrilled with what we created together.
