For my third shoot with Amprius, I was brought in to capture their next-generation lithium-ion batteries in a way that felt as cutting-edge as their technology. With their rebrand shifting toward a more cinematic, high-impact aesthetic, the goal was to create imagery that felt bold, dramatic, and precise.
Since we were also photographing their equipment, the entire shoot took place inside their lab environment, rather than a controlled studio. Working around tight spaces, reflective surfaces, and industrial lighting, I leaned into dramatic lighting and minimal styling—sourcing metal surfaces from Industrial Metal Supply in San Jose—to bring texture and depth to the images.
My focus was not just on showcasing the engineering behind Amprius’s batteries, but on translating their vision for the future of energy into compelling visuals.
